Ingredients

  • Cracked wheat-1/2 cup
  • Onion-1(chopped)
  • Cumin seeds-1/2 tsp
  • Carrot-1/2 cup
  • Green beans-1/2 cup
  • Bottle gourd-1/2 cup
  • Pea-1/2 cup
  • Tomato-1(chopped)
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
  • Crushed peppercorn-1/4 tsp
  • Coriander leaves
  • Lemon juice-2tsp
  • Cooking oil
  • Clarified butter-2tsp

Method

1. Heat the pan,add clarified butter,fry the cracked wheat in this clarified butter.

2. After few minutes when it is fried keep aside.

3. Add cooking oil in the pan,add cumin seeds,when cumin seeds cracle add chopped onion ,when the onion is brownish in colour add carrot,green beans, sauté for seconds.

4. Add bottle gourd,chopped tomato sauté for few minutes.

5. Add pea,mix them properly,add salt and turmeric powder.

6. Saute for few second and cover with a lid.

7. After few minutes open the lid and sauté it.

8. Add fried cracked wheat,mix it in this vegetable mixture.

9. Add lukewarm water,salt ,crushed peppercorn,stir well and cover the pan with a lid.

10. After few minutes open the lid,add chopped coriander leaves, mix them properly and turn off the gas.

11. Now add lemon juice,mix up.
