Ingredients

  • Basmati Rice-2cups
  • Chicken-500gms
  • Dried Red Chillies-4(deseeded)
  • Onion-4(chopped)
  • Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp
  • Ginger-3tsp(chopped)
  • Garlic Flakes-10-12(chopped)
  • Cumin Seeds-2tbsp
  • Fennel Seeds-3tsp
  • Cinnamon Stick-1
  • Black Cardamoms-2
  • Cloves-4
  • Black Peppercorns-4
  • Salt to taste

Method

1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes.

2. Deseeded dried red chillies and immerse them in water. Keep aside for 10minutes.

2. For the paste grind all the ingredients with some water.

3. Marinate chicken with this paste and leave it for 2hrs.

4. Heat oil ,add the marinated chicken .Stir fry for 5 minutes . Then add rice and water.

5. Add salt. Cover and cook on low flame.

6. When pulao gets cooked serve hot.
