Homemade nutritious and tasty chicken

Preparation time- 15 mins

Cooking time- 50 mins

Serve- 6


  • Chicken-500gm
  • Turmeric Powder-1/2tsp
  • Red Chilli Powder-1tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste-2tsp
  • Cumin Seeds-1 tsp
  • Coriander Seeds-1/2tsp
  • Bay Leaf-1
  • Tomato Puree-1/2 cup
  • Green Chilli Paste-1tsp
  • Red Lentils-1cup
  • Cooking Oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Garam Masala Powder-1tsp
  • Chicken Masala Powder-1tsp
  • 4 medium sized Potato( each cut into 2 pieces)
  • Onion-1 cup (sliced)


1. Heat a pan, add cumin seeds, coriander seeds, bay leaf and toast them .Then grind them.

2. Heat oil in a pan; add potato, salt, turmeric powder. Stir them, then the pan cover with lid.

3. After few minutes open the lid, after potato is fried keep it aside.

5. Heat oil, add sliced onion, salt and stir it.

6. After the onions turn golden brown, add chicken and stir them. After few minutes add salt, turmeric powder, mix all the things properly.

7. Add ginger garlic paste, green chilli paste, red chilli powder, chicken masala powder and mix all of them.

8. Add grounded powder, tomato puree and mix them up.

9. Add red lentils stir it,after that add fried potato,salt and mix all of them.

10. Add lukewarm water and cover it.

11. After few minutes open the lid ,subsequently when lentil and potato is cooked add garam masala powder.

12. Chicken dish with red lentils healthy recipe is ready.
