Ingredients

  • Browntop millets-1/2 cup
  • Red lentil-1/2 cup(masoor dal)
  • Yellow lentil-1/2 cup(moong dal)
  • Carrot-1 cup
  • Green beans-1/2cup
  • Capsicum-1/2 cup
  • Pea-1/2 cup
  • Corn-1/2 cup
  • Tomato-2(chopped)
  • Coriander leaves-1 cup(chopped)
  • Dry ginger powder-2tsp
  • Cumin powder-2tsp
  • Curry leaves-5-6
  • Cooking oil
  • Salt
  • Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
  • Mustard seed-1tsp
  • Dry red chilli-2
  • Lemon juice-2 tsp

Method

1. Take browntop millets in a bowl,wash it properly and soak for 30minutes.

2. In another bowl take yellow lentil,red lentil,wash it and soak for 30minutes.

3. Take pot for cooking,keep it on the gas and add water.

4. Let it warm,add soaked red and yellow lentil,soaked browntop millets,carrot,green beans,turmeric powder,salt and stir.

5. After few minutes add capsicum,chopped tomatoes,dry ginger powder,cumin powder,let it cook.

6. Now add pea,sweet corn,stir all things, keep aside when it is cooked.

7. For tempering heat small pot,add cooking oil,when oil is hot add dry red chilli,mustard seeds and curry leaves.

8. Pour it on the cooked khichdi and mix up.

9. Add chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.

10.Now healthy delicious millets dish is ready to serve.
